01201 1885 803 Wabash Avenue Kansas City, Oct 11 Dear Louie. The funeral was on Thursday I should hav been on the way
for home by this time but Anna is sick says she will nto be able to leave here before Wednesday 14th You need not in any case
telegraph to Walter as I shal give you notice when we start when we are to reach Martinez David Mary have gone home. So
have Maggie John R. Dan did not come to the funeral Mother telegraphed she could not come. When Anna I leave poor Joanna will
be alone once more after all this. She is pretty sorely tired out I have seen a good deal of David, miss him much now that
he is gone 01201 I thnk Anna will stand the journey pretty well. Dan says that she is likely to get entirely well with
proper care We connect with the Southern Pacific at Mohave I will telegraph you there within a day of home. Sorry to be
delayed again after all your waiting but I cannot leave Anna though she says she can follow alone. Love to all Ever Yours
John Muir Tell Wanda that little Ethel is a very nice girl she is coming to see her sometime soon in California this morning
she sends a kiss. She is playing on the floor now. She is about 3 years old smart good too.
