J.M.2 I have said that we shall tackle the subject in the December number. Do not be misled by this to suppose that it is
a long way off. We are now working on the November; the October is closed up, and we shall need your letter as soon as you
can send it. Advocate the extension of the Park if you think best and I will add an editorial word backing it up. This will
show all reasonable people that we are in no way opposed to the Commission. Could Parry be of use to us with a short letter
on the Yosemite? There will be no difficulty in the East in getting public sentiment to take our side. How to make it effective
is another thing. Robinson has gone to the Kings River Canon and has offered to send us sketches should we want them. We
had some talk you know in regard to the wonders of this region. If you should like to prepare a paper on that Canon also I
think perhaps we could make room for it. With the kindest regard of Mrs. Muir, Very Sincere Yours, illegible Mr. John
