Home Sep. 10, 1909 Darling Helen: Am so glad that everything's lovely with you. Your exciting weather is so well described
that I hope you are faithfully keeping up your journal. It would prove invaluable to you should you ever have to write for
the press as I trust you may some of these days. Very soon the grapes will be edible you will be well supplied. Bertha's
twins were taken home last Sunday. They are looking fine. Bertha is stopping a week with May for a change. She of course wants
to be with her babes but fear of their keeping her awake makes her friends keep them apart a while. Wanda is having a great
time at Berkeley this week with the Fibetta Fi folk, almost a whole week of it. Ever devotedly John Muir
