WILLIAM F. HERRIN FLOOD BUILDING SAN FRANCISCO November 14, 1907. Mr. John Muir, Martinez, Cal. Dear Sir:-- I expect
to leave here for New York on December 6th or 7th and will return from New York, leaving there about December 18th. The President,
I understand, has invited you to Washington for a conference on Hetch-Hetchy and it occurred to me that you might make it
convenient to go with me, as far as Chicago anyway, and to return with me. I shall enjoy your company very much, and this
will be a good opportunity to discuss Hetch-Hetchy as well as many other matters. If there is anything that I can do to help
you as to Hetch-Hetchy, I will be glad to do it. Please let me know if you can go with me. Very truly yours, illegible
