1 Box 701 Pasadena July 16 - 1913 Dear Mr Muir Donald and I have talked of you so often since he came home two weeks
ago from his long outing. He got some fine pictures in the mountains and on Anacapa and Coronado Islands and also natural
history specimens. he had an assistant with him and has paid all his expenses - selling his photos c, at good prices. This
sounds mercenary but if you could see what a new lease he has taken on life since he became able to camp and ride horseback
and earn his living like a man you would understand what I mean. I had hoped you would get down while he was home this time
05494 2 We have turned the little dining room into a work shop and you could have had a room for your work. He has gotten
off most of his picture orders now and expects to leave next week for the east to be gone several months. He will go to New
Brunswick and take moving? pictures of moose if he can get them with his old Scotch guide Adam Moore. I am closing my house
and will go with a quiet friend to the redwoods at Arbolado P. A.? near Monterey - a stage ride of 38 miles into the mts.
