2 that I learned of your Siberian trip. I would be pleased to learn that the money came to its owner. Our Wisconsin University
had lately a grand jubilee celebration. Students old and new, from far and near, were present. I looked over the list, thinking
I might possibly find your name, but it seems you were one of the absent host. I would be greatly pleased to see you. My youngest
daughter and I, with my son-in-law and daugter Nellie, jointly occupy a large steam heated flat. where we have a good measure
of comfort. I am still bending over the drawing board every day, except the last two days, in which I have been obliged to
stay at home, on account of overworked eyes. I have been working out some new ideas in the evenings, most of the winter and
spring, and now I cannot work in day times; but I will soon be better. I lately had a pleasant trip to Louisiana at the expense
of our firm, it was to start one of my new machines. I passed my 70th year 15th Feb. Had a big surprise party: Gold headed
cane; gold filled watch, books, flowers c, a big time. Have my daughter Jennie and 6 children with us at present 3 grandsons
and 3 granddaughters here in Milwaukee now. They are a lively little crowd. Hoping to hear from you soon, I remain as ever
