letterhead 95? 96 Wednesday a.m. My dear Mr. Muir: We have the enemy on the run, but they are telegraphing here
for reinforcements as you see by to-day's papers. The most important hearing of all takes place next Tuesday. I wish it were
possible for you to go on. Anyway a brief note from you to each member of the Public Lands Committee will do worlds of good.
Only a line stating that you are sending a pamphlet which contains pertinent information that you rely on them to save the
park from destructive invasion etc. It ought to get off by mail immediately- send down to Martinez by special messangers
if necessary. I mail our pamplets tomorrow morning on the Overland Limited. Keep all our friends to work on chairman Mondell.
He has turned now appears to be with us. I enclose a list of the members of this? Committee Sincerely Wm E Colby 02200
