Mss. signed. Receipts signed by two sons of Luis Maria Peralta, Domingo and Vicente, and by Antonio Pacheco, at Temescal, Calif. In Spanish. Title from Oakland Public Library records. Tape markings visible on paper. Translation of page three: "I have delivered to Don Jose (Josiah) Belden, seven hides of beef with my brand, which is manifested on the edges. Temescal, Oct. 1, 1846, my mark, Antonio Pacheco." Each receipt includes sketches of brands present on the hides delivered. Pencil on newsprint.
