6, 1909. Dear Sir:- Your telegram asking for my assistance in opposition to the Hetch Hetchy grant is at hand. I was unfortunately
absent from most of the hearing on the matter but have read everything that has been said and written on the subject. I sympathize
with the attitude of the opponents but, having great confidence in Mr. Pinchot and Secretary Garfield, I am perturbed as to
