Washington, D.C. Jany 27 /1913. My dear Mr Muir My ladie has written you I know - she can do such things far better
than I can - thanking you for our Christmas box. She can tell you in her charming way how we appreciated your kindness. But
I want to talk for myself when it is John Muir under discussion. You know full well the undisputed place you hold in my heart
and this simple note is only to add my gratefullness to that expressed by Mrs Marshall and the darling babies. I'll not nag
you to come to our camp ground. you know we want you. Always want you. If you will come soon we will pour? you a illegible
of elegant California wine. When you get tired thinking and writing to the world - just scratch of any thing you like and
send it to the family whose hearts are full of love for their most prized friend Sincerely R.B. Marshall 05363
