farming - I expect some of the girls home next week - they have been very little at home since you were here last winter -
have you had a letter from John lately - I have not heard from his for a long time. I have been told he intends to extend
his travels to other countries. I trust he will be protected from dangers by night and by day by a kind heavenly Father who
alone can save - Margt has got a horse and 3 buggy to ride around - she thinks her health is benefitted by it - about
two weeks ago she rode to Hickory Hill alone - and stayed a few days with us. The rest are all well as usual. When I last
heard of them. Since the farmers have all got farm houses for themselves - they have now began to build churches. The Presbyterian
church is built in their grave yard but not yet finished illegible illegible church is about to be raised on the school section
not far from Smiths house - and a Baptist one near the stone school house so at last we will have churches I hope many will
