4 it brings to my remembrance so much of my youthful days - among the first things I can remember is going to church and
the bell ringing and our family was so large we illegible two long pews. but all the them have gone into eternity - but my
sister and myself - my prayer is that we may be found ready when the Lord is pleased to call us home Now Danl I hope you will

Dear This being your birthday, my mind and heart turns toward you with much affection - not illegible with anxiety for your
welfare - it seems so long since I had a letter from you, - Two weeks ago I had an opportunity of enquir- ing about you in
Portage but they told me they had not heard any thing of you lately. I have since been more anxious to hear from you. - sometimes
I think you must have got fever again this summer - if so will you tray to get home. I would be glad to see you, and take
care of you - you know I would spare not pains for you comfort.
