to ten the other day. She is looking well, and is so much stronger than she was some time ago, she was saying how much more
able she was to do her work. They have moved from those rooms upstairs, where they were when you saw them into a house a little
nearer us. everything looks nice, and cosy, and comfortable and is very convenient, there is a pump for soft water in the
house, and a good well at the door. her wood house, also will be handy and there is a good cellar. she thinks she is better
fixed up now than at any time since she came to Portage. The children are well, only that Bessie has had a bad fall and cut
her face, There is a house being put up on the lot, and in playing she fell across some of the timbers. The Doctor had to
take three stitches. it was very carefully dressed, and we hope will not leave much of a mark. she goes to school though her
face has to be bound up. the wound is above the eye. Our family is very small now. Celia and Grace have gone to the Normal
School at Valparaiso Indiana. Their special studies will be stenography and Typewriting They wanted to learn the best method.
You can guess we are rather lonely. Mother has been having a cold but is better. Trusting that this will find you all well,
