Description:
Panoramic view of train and passengers posed for photo at Double Bow Knot on the Mount Tamalpais and Muir Woods Railway half
way up Mount Tamalpais. Most passengers are standing inside or in front of railroad cars. There are three passenger railroad
cars. The first one attached to the locomotive and tender is a standard enclosed car. It says "Mt Tamalpais Muir Woods"
at the top and bears the number 26. That car is totally empty and no passengers are standing in front of it. The other two
cars behind that are completely open air. They both say "Mt Tamalpais" on top and many passengers are crowded together in
front of those cars for the photo shoot. Most passengers appear to be very well dressed with men in suits and ties and hats.
There are a few children in the crowd. The engineer can be seen looking backward out of engine number 4 which is emitting
steam. The tender says "Mt Tamalpais and Muir Woods on the side. The mountain peak is visible directly above the train.
