Description:
The bull appears to be charging the horseman (cavaleiro is the Portuguese term). These specially bred bulls are capable
of running faster than a race horse for the first 100 feet. This horse may be a Luisitano which is a Portuguese breed, whose
special training often includes dressage that is a combination of stylized movements. The horse needs to be able to change
direction quickly yet stay balanced on its feet while carrying the shifting weight of the horseman. Training a horse for
bullfighting takes a minimum of three years.
