UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIAOFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT Berkeley,May 12,1913. Dear Mr.Muir: The President is delighted to know
that you will be here on Commencement Day to receive the highest gift within the bestowal of the University. He is counting
on your attending the Alumni Luncheon under the oaks in Strawberry Canyon after the exercises in the Greek Theatre. There
will be a great attendance of graduates and friends of the University. The President of the Alumni Association, who presides,
is likely, I should think, to call on you for a few words. Everyone would, of course, love to hear from you. With high regard,
I am, Very respectfully yours, Lasuhams Griffiths Secretary to the President. John Muir, Esq., Martinez, California.
