Featured on page 37 of Connie Young Yu's "Chinatown, San Jose, U.S.A." with caption: "San Jose's City Hall, designed by Theodore Lenzen, shortly after construction. The city council had stipulated that no brick or sewer pipe made by Chinese laborers should be used in construction of the new building."
