Description:
Picture of Scandinavian Elementary School, built in 1908 near the intersection of Shields and Sierra Vista avenues, Fresno,
Calif. Constructed with Western Stick and Romanesque Revival architectural elements. This brick structure was demolished sometime
before the 1950s and a replacement campus complex was constructed. The Scandinavian District was created in 1883 and merged
with the Fresno Unified School District in 1960. It later became an intermediate school.
