From the California Works Premium List Exhibition at the California State Fair, Sacramento. This massive mask was made for
Día de los Muertos. A devil is sitting on his throne, which becomes like a hat for the face below it. A taqueria, "Raul's
Auto Repair," a nightclub named "Mambo Rock" and other details create an assemblage that is rich in detail. Detail of assemblage-mask
is of a skeleton pointing outward. Across its brow reads the word "Tuya".
