Title:
Valencia Street between 15th and 16th, before the fire distroyed [sic] that part of the city on April 19, 1906. This photo
shows the damage done by the earth-quake alone. At the right the Valencia Street Hotel is shown thrown into the street: over
40 people were killed in the hote [sic]. At the left the street sunk and one house is shown with the second story level with
the sidewalk, while in the foreground the car rails are buckeled up badly by the movements of the earth.
