Note:
From the Vidas Perdidas/Lost Lives Exhibition organized through Border Arts Workshop/Taller de Arte Fronterizo by Richard
Lou, Victor Ochoa, Robert Sanchez and Michael Schnorr (January 1989). This installation resembles a morgue with drawers for
bodies. Flowers in plastic sandwich bags hang from each drawer handle and fill one of the open drawers. A relief map of
California is affixed above the plastic bags. The text printed on the piece explains the use of pesticides and the value
of the crops raised. The human toll is implied.
