Full title:Mr. and Mrs. Misao Tajitsu, Issei from the Minidoka Relocation Center, and their 2-1/2 year old son Ronald Setsuo
were the only members of the family at home when this photograph was taken in the living room of their New York City apartment.
Kazuko, 22, and Utako, 17, were vacationing at a YWCA camp; and Yoneko, 19, was at Keuka College in upstate New York, where
she is a cadet nurse at Geneva Hospital. A fourth daughter, Teruko, 20, was married recently in New York City to Andrew Morimoto,
also formerly of Minidoka. Before the family was evacuated from Seattle, Washington, in May 1942, Mr. Tajitsu had been a wholesale
grocery salesman. At Minidoka he was an interviewer in the employment department and executive secretary of the Federated
Christian Church. Mr. Tajitsu has been employed in the packing and shipping department of the National YMCA Press in New York
City since early last spring.<lb/> Photographer: Iwasaki, Hikaru<lb/> New York, New York.
