Full title:The Henry Nomura family sit down to Sunday evening tea in their 9-room home in one of Madison's better residential
districts. From left to right are: Violet, Mrs. Nomura, Mr. Nomura, and the twin daughters, Gloria and Judy. Their son, Jerry,
was playing football with his neighborhood pals and was late for tea. The Nomura family came to Madison early in 1942 from
Oakland, California, leaving the West Coast during the voluntary evacuation period. Mr. Nomura was active in establishing
the Madison Resettlement Committee and much of the credit for the welcome received by resettlers following him to the city
is due to the friends Mr. and Mrs. Nomura have made for Japanese and Japanese-Americans in Wisconsin's capitol city.<lb/>
