Notes:
Date taken - June, 1935 Near Marysville Cherry Picker Speaks I was born and Raised 100 American. I fought and was proud of
it, thinking I was helping the government and my family. If they.ll just fix it up so I can make a decent honest-to-goodness
living for my family and raise my children as good as I was raised.
I never lived this way before I went to war, nor after. But I do now and I can.t help it.
I don.t believe the President knows what.s happening to us people here. He don.t know the conditions. Here.s all the facts,
but there.s no way we can get it to him.
