Full title:The Farm Labor Camp at Rt. 2, Box 313, Reedley, California, which is under the management of Mr. Y. Takemoto and
his family, is now ready for occupancy and labor. The picture shows the Takemoto family with one of the dormitories of the
camp in the background. Left to right, front row: Hisako, Rikio and Sachiko; back row: Mitsuko, Misako, Mr. and Mrs. Takemoto,
and Ayako. Mr. Takemoto states that he has about 30 single men there now, but desires to have the number increased to 150
single men before the harvest of grapes starts. There will be year around work, work varying from harvesting of fruits, pruning
of trees and vines, and various vegetable work during the spring months. Mr. Takemoto states the wages will be no less than
85 cents an hour and for piecework, the pay will be 5 cents a tray for Thompson and 6 cents a tray for Muscat grapes. There
will be a nominal charge for room and board at the camp. Mr. Takemoto operated a labor camp for about 10 years prior to evacuation.
Until his return to Reedley early this month, he was in the same type of work at Blackfoot, Idaho. His family voluntarily
evacuated to Idaho, therefore, have not spent any time in a relocation center.<lb/> Photographer: Iwasaki, Hikaru<lb/> Reedley,
