Handwritten letter from Roy Goto to [Afton] Nance, 1944 Jan 19. 15-2-A Heart Mountain, Wyoming January 19, 1944 Dear Mrs. Nance Thank you very much for the
letter you sent me. Its great to hear from everbody in this camp. Lots of people are now relocating so it is very lonesome
now. We are now having lots of fun ice skating now although I practically laying on ice instead of skating. This winter
is a one of the best winter I have aver had I played football for 110 pound and under league. I played the position guard
and did I get smashed but its lots of fun tho. I am now playing basketball since we have eight basketball court in our high
school gym I am getting along fine in my school work. I am trying to become a engineer or mechanic so I am taking couple
of a mathematic cources as you know I am pretty busy so I am not going (DANCING) When I have a spare time I either build model
airplanes or plaing football or basketball It has been pretty dusty for last few days that you reatly need a dust glass
here. It is very warm this year the coldest it was, was about -10 below zero. It was about 47 yesterday. Sincerely
