Councilman Richard Hus, right, and Shannon Woodland, left, join hands on the shovel to break ground for Woodland's planned
Roller Ska-teen Center, 300 Hampshire Road, Thousand Oaks. Woodland said he plans to open the ring - 80 by 100 feet and large
enough for 960 skaters - in May. Don Roberts, Thousand Oaks architect, designed the building, and William Coffee, Thousand
Oaks, is building it. Woodland who now owns Conejo Valley Electric, will operate the rink and keep his electric store. He
has been planning the rink for two years because, he explains, The kids here just haven't got anything to do.
