and the Banning Heights Mutual Water Company. System was developed by C. O. Barker to provide water for agricultural and residential
purposes through the Banning Water Canyon. A system of two water diversion structures and thousands of feet of flume were
built in the early 1900s to provide water for Banning. At one time a system of tanks, penstocks and powerhouses generated
power from the flume near an area known as Raywood Flats.
