Vasquez, Tiburcio, 1835-1875
Description:
Portrait of Tiburcio Vasquez, a notorious bandit who raided rich estates in the Southland for years. Vasquez and his gang
raided Repetto's ranch, however Repetto had no cash, so he sent his nephew for cash. His nephew returned with lawmen who
captured and later hanged Vasquez. A rumor circulated that Vasquez hid $40,000 in gold on Repetto's ranch, however the gold
was never found.
