Description:
Handwritten letter from Kazue Muragishi to [Afton] Nance, 1943, June 27. June 27, 1943 Dear Mrs Nance, Thank you very much for the wonderful letter. I sure was glad to hear from you.
Mrs Nance I was very glad to hear that you have gone to see our house. You said that our house was torn down clear to the
foundation I guess it can’t be helped. Gee Mrs Nance my sister and I sure enjoyed the flower which you have sent to me, and
also thank you very much for everything you have sent to me. I shall now start off by telling you all about the Graduation
of Poston II School. Two weeks of work on the Adobe preparing the stage for the Senior to graduate poston II School. It
was finally finish Day before the graduate. The graduation was on June 24, 1943 at the Cottonwood Bowl which is the name
of the theater of Poston II. The Senior color is the same as the school color maroon and white. The Senior class was lucky
to get the Cap & grown from one of the store in Arizona. The only thing was that the Senior couldn’t have any picture taken.
As a hole the graduation was very nice. On friday June 25, 25 voluteers went to the army. At camp II we had a little program
for the voluteers. In camp II eleven voluteers left. There was a big sent off at camp III for all the voluteers of I, II,
III. My sisters all went to see the voluteers off. They said the send off at camp III was very good. A boy from our block
left with the group to the army, and the family of that boy lives next door to us. Gee Mrs Nance I sure was surprise to
hear about Nancy Carter. Will you get Nancy address for me I sure would like to hear from her, and also Peter Kaufmann address.
Mrs Nance here is a picture which was taken special for the school use I bought some to send away so here is one for you.
I sure took a awful picture. When ever I get hold of a better one I will send it to you. Here is some Poston leaf for
you. Please write to me. The only enjoyment I get is to receive letters from various friends. Sincerely,
Kazue Muragishi
