Handwritten letter from Nobuo Yasaki to [Afton] Nance, 1942 Nov 18. Nov. 18, 1942 Amach Colorado Dear Mrs. Nance I am very sorry I didn’t write to you for a
long time. hoping that you are in good healthy. In my camp life in Colorado is very good place. I now join the Boy Scout
and we went for hiking about 8 mile to see the Arkasas river after we came back from hiking, I was so tired that I couldnt
wake up the next morning. I am now going to School. In School I am taking Math, Gym, shop, Art, music, Science, and General
Educatin. We have Amercan teachers and Japaness teachers. Our Jr. High have about 300 student. We are going to have Grammar
Jr. High and High School Building in about next years. We had snow couple week and hard a snow fight it sonow about 7 in
deep and 60 degree above zero. I am hoping that it snow on December. My friend and I we went out in the field and had a
snow fight and to catch some rabbit too. It was so cold that we couldnt catch any rabbit. Anyway we had a snow fight by
the time we came back home our hand, feet and ear was nub and frozon. Can you send me your Self Help Arthematic Book so
I could study at home. I cant think of anything so So Long Sincerely Yours Nobuo Yasaki
