Description:
Exterior photograph of portion of the Briargate Lodge in Banning. Lodge was at one time used as part of a sanatorium type
facility and the source for a long time local urban legend which tells of one-time guest of the Briargate, Irving Berlin,
having written ""White Christmas"" at this facility. According to Berlin, the song was written in New York City, although
the ""inspiration"" for the song may have come from his stay at the Briargate.
