Title:
Group of Filipinos in Front of The Enterprise Owned by Domingo Dela Rosa Sr.
Subject:
Domingo Dela Rosa
Filipino Americans
Description:
In this tattered and torn image, children hold songbooks in front of 127 Enterprise Street in Oxnard. Domingo Dela Rosa
Sr. owned The Enterprise, a complex that included the storefront at 127 Enterprise, the big house behind it, and apartment
units in the back. A total of 24 residential units were rented out to Filipinos, who worked as laborers, barbers, and chauffeurs.
Units were also rented out to non-Filipinos, and that is how Domingo Dela Rosa met his wife, Mary.
